Considering registering for a course? 

 

If you’d like to register for a course but are not sure how things will pan out, know that you will be able to transfer your registration to another workshop without a transfer fee, or if you decide to cancel due to Covid-19 you will get a full refund for all LIVE portions of workshops. We are waiving any transfer and cancellation fees at this time. Also, please read below the precautions we are taking to help keep everyone safe.

 

What you need to know

• The training provided is practical and hands-on in nature.

• There is currently no evidence that horses can contract or become ill from COVID-19.

 

What you can expect

​​

• We will communicate to you if a workshop has been cancelled or rescheduled.

• We will waive any fees if you decide to reschedule, hold, or cancel your attendance.

• We will develop safety guidelines for each class in accordance with local guidelines as much as possible, given the practical and hands-on nature of the training.

• Once registered, the course Instructor will communicate these safety guidelines any additional safety protocols to all students. Feel free to reach out to your Instructor if you have questions.

 

What you should bring

 

• Bring your own mask(s). You can use a mask as you see fit for your own comfort. You may or may not wear a mask when working on horses.

• Bring your own chair (if you would like otherwise one will be provided to you) and pens.

• If you like, bring your own hand soap, hand sanitizer, disinfecting solution, and/or cleaning gloves.

• If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please do not attend the course—notify Elisse ASAP (elisse@equilibriatherapeutics.com) to find a new course to attend.

• Please review the COVID-19 & Barn Safety graphic below.

• Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds upon arrival to the barn and before you leave; after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing, etc.; and after you work on each horse.

• Remain at least 6’ from others where possible.

• Be understanding as your instructor may ask you to wash your hands and learn/practice away from the barn’s common areas to prioritize distance between individuals and airflow.

• Instructors typically provide hands-on-hands assistance after demonstrating techniques. However, in this era of social distancing we may need to be creative. Your instructor will discuss options and preferences for either socially distant assistance (limited to verbal guidance and demonstration) or careful hands-on assistance (wearing masks, etc.).

• Once the course is over, we recommend that you disinfect your course materials, cell phone, and vehicle (steering wheel, knobs, gear shifter, etc.) with approved disinfectants.
